An office system for configurable meeting space. The desire to create an airy and relaxed office culture led me to seek out enviornments in nature with the same qualities. My search led me to rice terraces. The poetic nature of workers adapting their enviornment to their work struck a chord with me. That and the fact that we would all rather be outside.

The system features low seating, communial desk space, and storage partitions.The basic seating blocks can be configured in endless arrangements and then stacked for easy moving.

Landscape office is constructed completely out of molded meadowood, a renewable resource made of dried rye grass that is as strong as any plywood. The cushions would be made from inch thick felt. The model is constructed of molded styrene covered with a mixture of sawdust and glue to simulate the texture of meadowood.

Landscape office was completed in my junior year for a Furniture Design class.
