A playful look at sculpting light.

This project was a study in using recycled pieces of glass to create a sculpture. I decided to take it one step further and design a lamp that would sculpt light as well. I found that when I held baby food jars to a light source the light would focus in any direction I chose. After eating way too many jars of baby apple sauce, I arranged them on a glass globe to create the desired effect.

A surprise element to the design is the removability of the jars. This allows for endless customization possibilites and a new user-defined personality to the light
